Investment seminars 

We know our members want to realise the full potential of their investment assets to best fulfil their charitable and financial objectives.

Twice a year ACF hosts investment seminars in collaboration with our Official Partners over two days, in person, enabling people to meet fellow trustees and senior staff at endowed foundations. 

These Investment seminars are an invaluable opportunity for trustees and senior foundation staff to feel empowered to get involved in discussions about their foundation’s investments. Covering the role of mission and values; the legal context; deciding what to spend; and the technicalities of investment, from risk and return, to asset allocation and understanding costs (including the refreshed CC14 Guidance). The seminars are suitable for those new to investment and those well-versed in investment matters who are new to the foundation context. 

The seminars also provide a basic introduction to implementing best practice as highlighted in ACF’s publication Investment: The Pillars of Stronger Foundation Practice. 

Attendance is free for ACF members. Non-members are welcome to attend for a fee. Please note, the seminars are not open to participants who are employed in the investment consultancy and investment management industry.
