The Covid-19 pandemic further exacerbated discrimination, exclusion, and inequality historically experienced by Disabled people. Between January and November 2020, 6 out of 10 people who died with Covid-19 were Disabled. Unequal access to healthcare, food, social support, and information left too many Disabled people vulnerable and experiencing worse mental health compared with the general population.
Join ACF’s Members’ Policy Forum to learn more about the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on Disabled people as well as the complex needs and experiences created by intersecting identities. We will also hear from funders who work in this space and explore how the funding community can better respond to these challenges.
