This session will explore the theme of hope as a pathway to systemic change for children and young people. In a time of uncertainty and challenge, we will reflect on how practitioners, funders, researchers and young people themselves are choosing hope as a way to shape their work and aspirations for change.
We will also consider the complexities of hope, including how it sits alongside experiences of anxiety, fear and grief, and what it takes to create spaces where children and young people feel safe to imagine and build hopeful futures, particularly when systems and structures have not always supported them.
