Tackling poverty network meeting

Join us to examine Cash first approaches – who is using them, what are the opportunities and challenges?

We will hear from;
 
•Deven Ghelani, Director of Policy in Practice on their work around income maximization, unclaimed benefits and evaluation of Local Welfare Assistance.
 
•Lisa Doyle, Head of Policy and Research at The Trussell Trust will speak about Cash First interventions and learning from a pilot in Leeds.

•Denise Bentley and Anike Olaitan-Omole, First Love Foundation, will speak about advocating and providing access to justice for people trapped in poverty in London 
 
•Isabel Rice, Food Poverty Campaign Coordinator at Sustain will share their approach to cash first and how it is tracked in the annual report, Good Food Local: the London report (previously Good Food for All Londoners report), and what actions councils across London are taking.
