Climate justice

Join us to hear from a panel of speakers providing a range of different perspectives on the links between climate and justice, and what is required now for a just transition

It’s well known that climate change is largely driven by the wealthiest people, companies and countries, with the least well-off most at risk from climate impacts, from flooding to food price rises. The fossil fuel era is closely bound up with colonialism and other forms of exploitation. There are important choices to be made about who bears the costs of transition to net zero, and who enjoys the benefits of cleaner technologies, new jobs and industries

Speakers:

Simon Hood, Research analyst, Runnymede Trust and co-author of Confronting Injustice: Racism and the Environmental Emergency

James Marriott, Platform
