SIIG: New models to stabilise and scale community asset ownership and development
With growing place-based inequalities, communities are transforming neighbourhoods through community asset development and community-led housing. This learning session explores three sector-led financial initiatives that seek to scale community asset ownership and community housing – the Mutual for Community Asset Development, Collective Ownership Society and the CLT Pre-development Catalyst.
The session builds on the event, Financing the Future of Neighbourhood Transformation, organised by PG Collective and held at the Conduit Club on 3rd March 2026, which some members of SIIG attended.
Speakers:
- Catherine Harrington, former founder Chief Executive Officer CLT Network and co-lead, Mutual for Community Asset Development
- Dr Jess Steele OBE, Chief Executive Officer, Hastings Commons; Co-lead, Mutual for Community Asset Development
- Levent Kerimol, Collective Ownership Society
- Alison Ward, Executive Director, Middlemarch Community Led Housing CIC
