Tackling inequalities through the Living Wage

Join us to hear how the Living Wage Funder scheme can help tackle low pay in the charity sector.

Low pay is a persistent problem that affects workers across the UK, with many people in the third sector continuing to earn below a real Living Wage. At this event we will hear from the Living Wage Foundation and ACF members about the Living Wage Funders scheme, which provides an opportunity for trusts and foundations to demonstrate their commitment to reducing inequalities. By signing up, funders agree to encourage the organisations they support to pay the Living Wage. There will also be the opportunity for peer discussions on the key barriers to becoming a Living Wage Funder and how these can be overcome.

Speakers:

  • Sufina Ahmad, director of John Ellerman Foundation
  • Marina Ageyeva, programme manager at the Living Wage Foundation
  • John Hume, chief executive of People’s Health Trust
  • Klara Skrivankova, director of grants at Trust for London
